Sixteen of Jamaica’s leading Chinese businesses have come together to form the Association of Chinese Enterprises in Jamaica (ACEJ), a non-profit organisation slated to officially launch next Tuesday.

Chinese officials, Jamaican government and opposition members, some of Jamaica’s business leaders, diplomats, staffers from the various Chinese businesses within the association and other esteemed guests will gather to celebrate this venture.

With a combined goal of forging partnerships and enhancing strategic alliances with Jamaican institutions and enterprises, the ACEJ is made up of a broad cross-section of businesses that represent a viable partnership with Jamaican industries, geared toward enhancing social and infrastructural development locally.

Household company names such as China Harbour Engineering Company (CHEC), Huawei Technologies Jamaica Company Limited and JISCO Alpart Jamaica are among the group of companies and enterprises engaged in the manufacture, agriculture, mining, telecommunication, construction, healthcare, sale, import and export trade and other business activities across the island.
