Are you a PEP?

At times I wonder how many of us citizens are aware of a concept which categorises certain people as Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs). PEPs are not necessarily public officials, but many public officials are PEPs. The term PEP has come to even have a legal connotation and, certainly in the case of Jamaica, it has a regulatory connotation. But who is a PEP? Do you know any PEPs? Are you a PEP?
