YESTERDAY’S 17th staging of the Sagicor Sigma Corporate Run recorded the largest number of registrants, just under 24,000 people, according to the organisers.

The 5.5-kilometre walk, run and wheelchair road race raised $26,048,095 million, which was presented to Cornwall Regional Hospital’s Neo Natal Unit and Jamaica Kidney Kids Foundation at a ceremony at Emancipation Park where the race ended. The race started on Knutsford Boulevard.

This year’s event was held under the theme, ‘Save Our Children, Save Our Future’ and received support from more than 2,000 volunteers, sponsors and assistance from corporate Jamaica. Here are some highlights.
