Key Insurance Company Limited was incorporated in 1982 and was registered by the Superintendent of Insurance in November 1982, as a general insurance company, providing insurance protection for almost all classes of general insurance. The Company commenced its operation with a Head Office in New Kingston and a Branch Office in the Cross Roads area. Over the years the company opened branches in Ocho Rios, Mandeville, Montego Bay and Portmore. The Company sought to meet the needs of the insuring public and the growing number of brokers by being close to its customers and expanding its operations island wide, thereby affording the insuring public easy access to its products. The company is dedicated to excellence in customer service and to that end is constantly educating its staff and upgrading its equipment. The company is committed to technological advancement and as such, most of its daily activities over the last ten years have been computerized. The goal being to decrease the time spent for each policyholder to transact business and thereby increase customer satisfaction. The overall goal of the company is to provide a premium service to all policyholders. Several years ago the company changed its mission statement to include a technological element not included in its previous mission statement. The company's mission statement now reads as follows: "Key Insurance Company Ltd. is committed to protecting its Policyholders by providing quality products, excellent service & security of assets; through constant product and technological improvement by a highly motivated and competent staff." Over the years Key Insurance Company maintained a low profile and propounded a conservative underwriting policy, which resulted in slow but steady growth for many years. The company did not wish to achieve growth while sacrificing personalized service. In the past two years the company's business has increased tremendously and with the implementation of new computer technology has been able to provide its customers with the same individual attention, the company has been known for in past years. Key's management team believes in and is committed to quality services whether in underwriting or claims. Key has a management team whose members are not only qualified but also have many years of experience in the insurance field to their credit. Management is backed by a team of committed and loyal staff members who are well trained to provide efficient service to the company's clients & brokers. Key Insurance Company is committed to keeping its staff knowledge base and qualifications high. There is currently in place an ongoing training program to keep staff members abreast of new developments. Our claims department is for the most part automated allowing for prompt payment of claims but as always the company is constantly striving to improve on the already speedy time it takes to process and complete claims. It can be said that Key Insurance Company is a long standing, solid insurance Company that has for the last 25 years been a stable player in the Jamaican insurance industry. |
